Why SHOULD you hire this guy, anyway?
We don't sound like complete Hacks: – From TV’s Star Search, to the Paris Opera House, to Television & Radio and 1000’s of International Hotel & Country Club Appearances- John’s vocals & music are unsurpassed. And, he arranges all the music & vocals for the band, ensuring consistent & reliable quality. We're not "learning" on your party, gala or wedding- we KNOW how.
JP's done more than one gig: – having performed for 1000’s of events, from Gala’s for U.S. Senators, Legislators & Governors, to Conventions of International Corporations, to upscale receptions for Brides & Grooms of all ethnicities, to Mitzvah celebrations of all magnitudes – in the most demanding mix of guests we know the right songs to play and the right time to play them - with NO time in-between, & keeping our one strategically-placed band break to a minimum or eliminating breaks altogether!
We don't just stand there: – We connect with your group! John’s personable and fun “way” with an audience puts people at ease. He can take control when it’s needed, break the ice when needed, and always put a smile on guest’s faces. You don't inspire fun if you're not having fun yourself - We love what we do and it shows.
His kids think he's amusing: - Playing good music all night is great, but being personable, friendly and fun while playing great music all night is even better. Having the good sense and family values to truly know what is tasteful and appropriate is even better yet.
They can play something newer than "Celebration": – Music from the 40’s to LOTS of music from the New Millennium SOUNDS like the ORIGINAL ARTIST – You might not want too much from the "exteremes" of modern or old music - but it’s all there if needed.
We don't act like we're doing you a favor: – Your Wedding Party or Gala is quite possibly a ONCE IN A LIFETIME event for you. John "gets" this like no one else in the business, & performs EVERY event with the highest level of commitment, enthusiasm & caring.
John even knows what's going on BEFORE the event!: – We DON'T come up your event and ask "so what is it we doing ?" That's because pre-event consultation starts long before you book the John Parker Band. And continues up to the phone call the week of your event to finalize all the details. We're available ANYTIME to discuss songs, order of events, announcements, etc…and to offer suggestions on how to best utilize his service the day of your event and how best to make your event flow properly...
He doesn't completely butcher everyone's name: – Emceeing is professional. Names are pronounced CORRECTLY, (we make SURE beforehand - and all introductions use proper etiquette and flow with the polish and class that discriminating clients prefer.
The band doesn't come to take breaks: - Breaks in life are great, but not band breaks at your party! We typically strategically place ONE break into your party or can even eliminate our breaks altogether. It just seems so much more FUN when the band is playing!
We don't throw a tantrum if something changes: – As events progress, things can change. You need a professional that can change right along with your event, keep cool & collected and seamlessly adapt accordingly.
Our Equipment doesn't come from K-Mart: – John Parker owns ALL of the common equipment for the band. We have a variety of first-class, concert quality setups sized right for YOUR event, and John’s keeping ultimate control of the production assures you your music will sound clear & full… (and in stereo!) And that it's kept at THE RIGHT volume required for any given event.
Other people actually think we're good!: – Read excerpts from clients of all types online or in “Dear John Letters” - many hundreds of testimonials to John’s performances at their party, wedding, gala, etc... RECENT & RELEVANT, these are real people who were at one point in your position of selecting entertainment for their event - many of whom are just like those who will be at YOUR party - and this is what they thought afterwards! Call or email ALL of his clients!
We cringe at the words "Musician" or "Agent" too: - John is a classy, well spoken and quite successful family gentleman who happens to earn his living entertaining for special events. He is not any of the things stereotypically attributed to Musicians or Booking Agents. Thank God. A regular guy who's sense of personal responsibility and work ethic is beyond compare, JP comfortably fits into any situation smartly & seamlessly. And he too has had enough of lazy musicians and pushy salesmen types to last a lifetime.
John Parker gave up his job at Wendy's: – 100% of John Parker’s livelihood is ENTERTAINMENT. His working hours are devoted to the arranging, producing, & performing of music – for special events just like yours! This dedication to his business and his craft is why you can rest assured your event will go the way it should.
His dictionary emphasizes the word "integrity": - What matters most in life is integrity. Being true to the clients he’s committed to by making their special event the best it can be is the highest priority for John.
